Terri Powell Obituary
Ms. Terri J. Powell, age 66, of Normantown, died Monday, March 11, 2024, at Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a native of Soperton and lived most of her life in Vidalia. She worked for Southern Company for more than twenty years and loved her grandchildren and all of her animals. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Clyde Johnson.
Ms. Terri is survived by her children, Jesse Powell and wife Jessie of Vidalia, and Jamie Drew and husband Nathan of Five Points Community; one sister, Kay Alfonso of Vidalia; one niece, Crystal Alfonso of Vidalia; one nephew, Vince Alfonso of Swainsboro; and four grandchildren, Cassie, Ethan, Brandon, and Izabell.
The family will receive friends at Wilkes Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Vidalia Animal Shelter at 2811 Airport Road, Vidalia, Ga, 30474.
